Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates & Mamelodi Sundowns New 2018/19 Season Kits

Several local teams have recently unveiled their new home and away kits for the upcoming 2018/19 season, and that includes Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, and Mamelodi Sundowns.

 Kaizer Chiefs

The new home kit features a modern design with the iconic gold shirt complemented by bold diagonal black stripes running across the torso – the stripes representing traditional spears rising together to create a sense of motion and unity on the field.
Paying tribute to the team’s strong heritage, the away jersey is dominated by bold, regal purple – paying homage to African royalty – strong and unbreakable like the new team. The vibrant away kit is completed with black shorts and purple socks.

Available through Nike.com / kcdigistore.com / major sporting retailers.

In a year where the Club continues to celebrate 80 heroic years of existence, the design of the black home kit pays homage to the traditions upheld by the previous and iconic Orlando Pirates jerseys. With a subtle black-on-black striping that brings a sophisticated feel to a jersey steeped in deep-rooted culture and value, the 2018/2019 home jersey moves effortlessly beyond the playing fields and into the fashion space as a timeless piece of day-to-day style wear. The away jersey sees the return of the powerful, striking two-toned red stripe pattern that reflects the Club’s ongoing quest to restore pride to the famous badge of one of Africa’s most celebrated football institution.

Available through select adidas retailers / adidas.co.za / piratesshop.co.za

The shirt and shorts are engineered using PUMA’s highly-developed evoKNIT thermoregulation technology. Engineered cooling zones in the shirt act as channels regulating the body’s temperature, while dryCELL technology provides moisture management across the fabric with high-performance yarns that wick sweat away from the body.

The seamless evoKNIT construction provides a lightweight ‘second skin’ feel, so the fabric acts in harmony with the player’s movements and not against them, allowing for improved performance on the pitch.

Available through major sporting retailers.
