The South African coat of arms may become a standard feature on all school uniforms come 2017, Gauteng education spokesperson, Oupa Bodibe, told News24.
“We are consulting school governing bodies. We would like to persuade them to put the coat of arms on uniforms to motivate support and promote the national symbol,” he said on Wednesday.

The national symbol already forms part of the school uniform at the newly-opened Curtis Nkondo School of Specialisation in Soweto.
