Employers are looking at your Social Media

Well, this might have crossed your mind or even not at all – but have you ever asked yourself if the company you applied for the job at might check what are you posting on Facebook,  Twitter, and Instagram?
Truth is that majority of employers are now searching through candidates’ social media accounts as part of the hiring process – in simple terms, it is called ‘social media screening.’
A new study has revealed that 70 percent of employers now use social media to screen job candidates before hiring them, up from 60 percent a year ago and 11 percent in 2006.
Well mates, since we are approaching a new year, make sure you keep your social media clean if you want to get that job interview.
