Netflix has just released a new movie, “Lift,” starring Kevin Hart (who also served as a producer), Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Vincent D’Onofrio, Úrsula Corberó, Billy Magnussen, Jacob Batalon, Jean Reno, and Sam Worthington.
“Lift” follows the gripping tale of Cyrus, an illustrious international thief, and his eclectic crew, comprising inside man Denton, pilot Camila, hacker Mi-Sun, safecracker Magnus, and engineer Luke.
In a high-stakes narrative, the crew orchestrates two simultaneous heists, one involving the theft of a Van Gogh painting in London and the other a staged kidnapping of renowned NFT artist N8 in Venice. Interpol agent Abby Gladwell, a former flame of Cyrus, uncovers evidence pointing to Denton, Luke, and Magnus. Instead of pressing charges, Abby’s superior, Commander Huxley, compels the crew to assist in capturing terrorist mastermind Lars Jorgenson. Cyrus insists that Abby joins the team to provide cover by Interpol.
The intricate plot unfolds as the crew infiltrates Jorgenson’s plans involving a terrorist attack, gold bullion, and a daring mid-air heist aboard a commercial airliner. The movie culminates in a series of twists, betrayals, and a triumphant celebration of the crew’s successful heist and the rekindling of Cyrus and Abby’s relationship.
LIFT is now streaming on Netflix.
