WITS received 70 000 first-year applications BUT can only take 6 000

WITS – University of Witwatersrand  announced that they received up to 70 000 first-year applications, but the Institution can only take 6000.

So far the applications were being processed and 6 200 of those who met the entry requirements would be enrolled.
39 000 of the 70 000 were first-time applicants for enrolment in the first year.
Earlier this Week the department of education revealed that more than 100,000 of the pupils who passed matric in 2015 qualify for university.
