YFM is Calling on High School Talent to Take Over the Airwaves This July
YFM is opening up the mic for young, fresh voices with the return of Recess on Morning Break this July 2025.
The station is inviting high school students between the ages of 14 and 18 to step into the spotlight and take over an hour of the Morning Break show with Xtremme during the upcoming school holidays, from Monday, 7 July, to Friday, 11 July.
This exciting initiative is all about giving Gen Z a platform to express themselves—whether it’s sharing their thoughts, raising issues that matter to them, or simply bringing their energy and music taste to the airwaves. From curating their own playlist to leading the conversation, selected students will get the rare chance to co-host live on Y.

Students need to fill out a short form and upload a video explaining why they deserve to be chosen. With Recess on Morning Break, YFM continues to champion youth culture by giving young people the chance to be heard, loud and proud.
