Joburg City Theatres is looking for young talent in event production

Here’s how to apply.

Joburg City Theatres is calling on passionate and unemployed individuals to apply for its Learnership Programme in Live Event Technical Production. This opportunity is ideal for young people eager to gain hands-on experience and develop practical skills in the world of live events — with the added benefit of earning a monthly stipend of R3,500.

The programme will equip participants with a nationally recognised NQF Level 4 qualification, helping them build a strong foundation in the technical aspects of event production.

Who can apply?

  • Must be unemployed and aged between 18 and 35 years

  • Must have passed Grade 10, 11, or 12 only

  • Should have a keen interest in live event technical production

  • Must be a resident of the City of Johannesburg

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential

Interested persons are requested to:

  • send their short cover letter, brief CV
  • proof of residence (i.e letter from the Ward Councilor)
  • recently certified copies of relevant certificate or results and the Identity documents not longer than three months, quoting the relevant reference number
