South African singer-songwriter Shekhinah is giving aspiring female artists a chance to take their music careers to the next level through her festival, ROSEFEST, in collaboration with Jacaranda FM.
The competition is officially searching for South Africa’s next female artist, offering one talented winner the opportunity to develop their craft with an incredible studio prize.
The initiative forms part of Shekhinah’s ROSEFEST festival series, which continues to create opportunities for women in music while celebrating female talent across the country.
The winner will receive:
- A year’s worth of studio time at Figure of 8 Studio – Shekhinah’s own recording studio.
- The opportunity to record and refine their music in a professional studio environment.
Who can enter?
Aspiring female artists from across South Africa are encouraged to submit their entries.
Applicants must send the following:
- One performance video (maximum 2 minutes)
- One original song or a cover performance
- An artist biography (maximum 200 words)
