The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has confirmed that all outstanding allowance payments will be processed by the end of May 2025. This includes payments for the 2025 academic year as well as outstanding catch-up payments from 2024.
In a statement, NSFAS added:
“University accommodation payments and 2024 catch up accommodation payments are scheduled for the 31st May 2025.”
The scheme also addressed Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) students, stating:
“NSFAS is processing TVET allowance payments and depending on banking institutions, students will receive allowances between Friday 23rd May and Sunday 25th May.”
