Mr Price is on the hunt for artists making sustainability the new cool, painters, sculptors, and craft creatives who can show how to mix creativity with fashion.
The retailer is calling on South Africa’s next conscious artist, an eco-minded creative who can turn fashion into artwork and make sustainability look irresistible.
Through its #MRPBETHENEXT “Be The Next Conscious Artist” search, Mr Price wants visionaries across any medium (from painting and sculpture to craft and mixed media) to repurpose fashion items as the core material of an original art piece. Shortlisted artists will receive Mr Price fashion items to bring their concept to life and be featured at a Mr Price Art Exhibition. Source
So, why is Mr Price doing this?… Because fashion has a footprint, and the brand is using creativity to shift the conversation from “buy and bin” to rethink, reuse, reimagine. The brief is simple but bold: submit a visual concept that creatively incorporates repurposed fashion items, proving that style and sustainability can share the same canvas—and that waste can become culture.
