Inside Nike’s Air Max Residency 2026

Nike’s Air Max Residency has officially wrapped, and it delivered more than just a programme; it created a space where creativity could grow and evolve.

Over the past few weeks, emerging talents across fashion, music, and art came together to develop work rooted in culture, collaboration, and community.

Working closely with creative hubs such as @maguguhouse, @flamestudiosnpc, and @floodhouse_sa, the residency provided participants with real guidance and support. Influential voices such as Thebe Magugu, DBN Gogo, and @bahati.simoens played a key role in shaping the experience, offering insight and direction to the next generation of creatives.

From studio sessions to the final exhibition, the journey reflected what Air Max has always stood for: movement, expression, and pushing boundaries. It wasn’t just about creating, it was about connecting ideas and building something meaningful.

Looking back, the residency leaves behind more than just finished work; it marks a moment when young creatives stepped into their own voices.
