Nike has announced an open call for its upcoming Air Max Residency, a creative program exploring the culture of Air through music, art, and fashion.
The residency, taking place 16–27 March 2026, will be mentored by DBN Gogo for Music, Thebe Magugu for Fashion, and Bahati Simoens for Art.
This will offer selected creatives an opportunity to explore how Air lives beyond sneakers and into culture. The program focuses on creators who follow their own rhythm, those interested in translating the idea of Air into sound, visuals, and creative expression.
Described as “an exploration of Air rooted in music,” the residency will guide participants through the creative process, from the earliest ideas to fully developed work.
DBN Gogo shared that she is honoured to be part of the Nike Air Max Residency as a mentor, working alongside Flame Studios to explore the power of process, from beat to song, and helping emerging creatives develop their ideas.
Nike is currently searching for artists, musicians, and creatives who want to push boundaries and experiment with the intersection of culture and sound.

The application deadline is 6 March 2026, after which shortlisted applicants will be contacted for the next phase of the residency.
