This past weekend (Saturday, 21 March 2026), Artistry JHB hosted the Leading Vibe Initiative in Johannesburg, with Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Tems as the headliner.
The initiative is designed to support and spotlight women driving the future of music.
The event brought together emerging and established creatives, including Uncle Waffles, Zoë Modiga, Kamo Mphela, and Moonchild Sanelly, in a space focused on connection. It opened doors to mentorship, knowledge, and industry insight, supporting a new wave of voices shaping music.
The programme included hands-on workshops in songwriting and production, as well as sessions on the music business. It created space for mentorship, networking, and building a supportive community of women shaping the industry.
“It was an honour to be chosen as the home for such a powerful initiative. Moments like these remind us of the importance of creating spaces where artists are supported, stories are shared, and the future of music can take shape in real time,” says the Artistry team.
