Sasol is now accepting applications for its bursary programme, offering full financial and developmental support to students pursuing degrees in engineering and science. The programme covers full-time university studies and provides opportunities for graduates to join Sasol through its Graduate Development Programmes, although recipients must meet a work-back or payback obligation.
The Sasol Bursary Programme covers tuition, accommodation, meals, study materials, and allowances for tools like a laptop and calculator. After graduating, bursars may also get the opportunity to join Sasol’s Graduate Development Programme.
Sasol is looking for applicants pursuing the following qualifications:
- Chemical Engineering,
- Chemistry (Studies to Hons. level will be required),
- Civil Engineering,
- Data Science (Computer Science/Mathematics/Operations Research/Statistics),
- Electrical Engineering,
- Electronic Engineering,
- Geology (Honours degree mandatory),
- Industrial Engineering,
- Mechanical Engineering,
- Mining Engineering,
- Metallurgical Engineering/Metallurgy (Studies to Hons. level will be required),
- Mine Surveying (University of Johannesburg only).
Applicants will also need to meet the following criteria:
- Be South African citizens by birth and reside permanently in South Africa,
- Be registered (or intending to register) for full-time undergraduate studies in 2027 at a Sasol-approved public university in South Africa,
- Meet Sasol’s minimum academic requirements.
It should be pointed out that studies at the University of South Africa (UNISA) will not be considered as part of this Bursary Programme.
