Cell C is putting more focus on helping young South Africans turn their ideas into something real. The company’s latest youth initiative includes a new partnership with Canva, alongside its existing See Youth and Take a Child to Work programmes.
The idea is simple: young people already have talent and ideas, but access to the right tools and opportunities can be a challenge.
One of Cell C’s programmes, See Youth, gives young people a chance to spend time in real workplaces. The aim is to help them understand different careers by seeing how these jobs work in real life.
Cell C has now teamed up with Canva to give young people access to professional design and content tools. These can be used to create things like better CVs, portfolios, social media content or material for a small business.

Customers who buy the Cell C 5GB Anytime Data Bundle, valid for 14 days at R69, can get three months of Canva Pro at no extra cost.
The Campaign will run from 11 August 2026 at 00h00 to 31 October 2026.
This data bundle offer can be purchased via USSD *123# under Perks, through the Cell C App, and/or any other qualifying Cell C channel as communicated by Cell C.
Only one (1) Canva Pro voucher/code will be issued per Eligible Participant for the full Campaign Period. Repeat purchases of the qualifying Cell C 5GB Data Bundle will not trigger additional Canva Pro vouchers/codes.
The Canva Pro voucher/code must be redeemed within 7 days from the date on which it is issued.
The company says this partnership will also lead to youth-focused activities in different parts of South Africa. These will give young people more chances to learn, create and explore their ideas.
Cell C says its youth work is focused on removing some of the barriers that can make it harder for young people to access opportunities. The company is positioning its programmes as practical support rather than simply talking about youth development.
The move comes as South Africa continues to face high youth unemployment, with Statistics South Africa recording a youth unemployment rate of 45.8% in the figure cited by Cell C. Through See Youth, Take a Child to Work and the Canva partnership, Cell C is looking to give young people more practical tools and exposure.
