E-commerce giant retailer Takealot is changing the name on its delivery boxes for Heritage Month by giving each parcel a proudly South African touch.
For the month, shoppers will receive boxes featuring different versions of the Takealot name in South Africa’s official languages. Instead of the usual name, boxes will be written in different languages, like Vatbaie, Tsayagolegontsi, and Thath’okuningi.
Local creatives also have a chance to get their work seen across the country. Takealot is inviting South Africans to create a special box design based on what heritage means to them.
The winning artwork will appear on one million boxes during the festive season. The creator will also receive R100,000 in Takealot vouchers, while R10,000 will go to a charity of their choice.
The campaign also features Muzi, with the South African producer bringing local music and sounds into the celebration.
