Rosebank College renamed to Rosebank International (RI)

As part of its growing expansion across Africa.

Advtech has unveiled a new identity for Rosebank College, which will now operate as Rosebank International (RI) as part of its growing expansion across Africa.

The move comes as the institution strengthens its presence outside South Africa, particularly in Ghana, while also preparing for a future transition into full university status locally.

Explaining the decision, Advtech Group CEO Geoff Whyte said the new branding reflects Rosebank International’s ambition to become “Africa’s largest and most respected private university.” He added that the institution continues to record fast-growing student numbers across different markets.

The announcement was praised by Deputy Minister for Higher Education and Training Dr Mimmy Gondwe, who called it “a significant milestone” in South Africa’s higher education space. She said stronger cooperation between government and private institutions can help expand access to quality education while producing graduates ready to contribute to Africa’s economy.

Alongside the rebrand, RI also plans to grow its international academic partnerships. Prof Linda Meyer said, “Through Rosebank International, we are creating opportunities for international academic collaboration” while preparing graduates for both local and global opportunities.

The institution says the change represents more than just a new name, but a wider vision focused on continental growth and international relevance.
