Apple has revealed its latest flagship phones, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, and they hit South African shelves from 18 September 2026.
The new iPhones will be available at iStore, Vodacom, and MTN.
Prices start at R28,799 for the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro.
The bigger Pro Max kicks off at R31,299, with both models scaling up to 2TB at the top end.
Under the hood is Apple’s new A20 Pro chip, built on 2-nanometer architecture. It’s 20% faster on the CPU, 40% faster on the GPU, and packs a beefed-up neural engine to run AI models directly on the device, meaning smarter Siri and better privacy.
The camera gets its biggest upgrade in years: a 48MP fusion main lens with a variable aperture that pulls in 60% more light in the dark, plus faster night-mode captures, 60fps video and 4K time-lapse.
Battery life is a huge win too 37 hours of video on the Pro, and 45 hours on the Pro Max (Apple’s biggest-ever jump).
Fast charging hits 50% in just 15 minutes.
